This collection of paintings examines the disparate elements found drawing boundaries between natural and synthetic environments. Within the works, scenarios populated by artifacts and symbolism are presented through appropriation and visual fabrication - ultimately setting a "metaphysical museum" backdrop. The exhibition title is loosely adapted from Larry Sultan and Mike Mandel’s photo series “Evidence”. Fittingly, two of the photos from the series are seen mid-installation within the painting “Dead Evidence”; a painting which reminds the viewer that even as humankind’s urgent march toward technological advancement accelerates, our mortality constantly grounds us.
